Mission Tour - Monday October 18, 2021

Bonjour mes amis!! This week was so crazy good. I loved it so much! We had a mission tour with Elder and Sister Johnson so every morning we were able to meet with the whole mission on zoom! It was so fun and the spirit taught me so much! It was so edifying. I wanted to share this scripture verse I loved from this week, Elder Johnson called it the formula for learning and personal revelation. Mosiah 2:9 "... hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your hearts that ye may understand, and your minds that the mysteries of God may be unfolded to your view." I know that God wants to speak to us. There may be things that He has been wanting to tell you! This week I'm going to look for those things and I hope you do too! Also, the most amazing thing happened this week! Our friend Alounal came to church with us!!! It was so special to be there with him and to watch him meet the members. He has a wife and 2 daughters, one who lives back in Haiti, and I cannot ...

Humbling Moments are Happy Moments - October 11th, 2021

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! First of all, we had the biggest suprise of our lives yesterday when we showed up for church. Vincent, a service missionary in our branch had made Thanksgiving dinner for all of us missionaries! It was the kindest thing ever! He had a huge bag filled with food for all 7 of us, it was a christmas miracle in October! This week was a very humbling week for me. Some of the hardest days, and yet I have never seen God's hand so clear in my life! And that is a testament to me that God works through the week and the simple! We had a lesson with one of our friends and a member family this week. Basically the lesson was didn't go as planned, and it left me feeling like I couldn't teach. We had a few "what are we actually doing here!?" moments haha! But all is well, and I am so happy we had these experiences. We have been trying to find out the needs of our friends and how to help them, and now we know exactly what we need to do! Sœur Gibb a...

Miracles - October 4th 2021

Bonjour mes amis! This was the best week of my life. My heart is so full! There are so many things in the works here in Lévis and I can see miracles everyday. I was already having an incredible week when I got the news that MY SISTER IS ENGANGED! My best friend is getting married! I could not be more excited for them! Waking up Saturday morning to that news was the best suprise. For real the best day of my life! And general conference. WOW. It was so spiritually filling and I am just so grateful for every talk. A few of our friends were able to watch which is so special. This week I've felt so much joy for missionary work. For bearing my testimony! The more I get to know these people and this area the more love I have for them! A huge theme I felt from general conference was God's love, and having our love for Him over everything else. Christ is the center of everything. This is really His church, and it's living! Miracles from this week - a phonecall with one of the m...

Sister Missionaries or Exterminators - September 27th 2021

Allô allô amazing people! As always this week was packed with experiences, I never fully grasped how much happens on a mission but it's insane! I am loving it here so much. I've gotten to know the members a lot more and I have so much love for them! Our little branch is so precious! A little update on what's going on in my mission right now, we have been getting floods of missionaries. Since the borders opened to US missionaries, we have had a transfer every week. It's so crazy. I am so lucky to still be with Sœur Gibb! The mission office has been so busy finding and getting apartments ready for all these missionaries. My mission is the largest geographical mission in the world, and it's so exciting to see areas that were once closed opening back up! We have been covering an area in New Brunswick/Maine, but just this week it was given to the Elders:( it's really exciting because the members will finally get to meet the missionaries in person, but it was a sad ...

The Lord Plans Forward - September 20th, 2021

Bonjour tout le monde! This week was so incredible. I never know how to write these weekly emails, there is no possible way to write down everything I experienced, learned, and felt! This week was definitely a highlight of my mission. First of all, zone conference! Zone conference is such an edifying experience. Being in a room full of missionaries and hearing them bear their testimonies is so powerful. I just want to paraphrase some of the things that I felt - This church is Jesus Christ's church, and we are being led by Him every. day. As I missionary, it's my job to invite ALL to come unto Christ. Everyone deserves to hear this gospel and have the joy that comes from the covenant path. It's all about LOVE. Loving people as Christ would and being a friend to everyone! President Harkness' teaching was so powerful. He talked about how the Lord plans forward. Every experience we have prepares us for the future. Looking back I can see the ways the Lord prepared me for ...
