Humbling Moments are Happy Moments - October 11th, 2021
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
First of all, we had the biggest suprise of our lives yesterday when we showed up for church. Vincent, a service missionary in our branch had made Thanksgiving dinner for all of us missionaries! It was the kindest thing ever! He had a huge bag filled with food for all 7 of us, it was a christmas miracle in October!
This week was a very humbling week for me. Some of the hardest days, and yet I have never seen God's hand so clear in my life! And that is a testament to me that God works through the week and the simple! We had a lesson with one of our friends and a member family this week. Basically the lesson was didn't go as planned, and it left me feeling like I couldn't teach. We had a few "what are we actually doing here!?" moments haha! But all is well, and I am so happy we had these experiences. We have been trying to find out the needs of our friends and how to help them, and now we know exactly what we need to do! Sœur Gibb and I are so motivated now and we have some good goals that will stretch us! God plans forward and it's incredible to see how this past week prepared me for the things that would happen. Since then, we have been in situations and taught lessons on the spot with EXACTLY what we have been studying. We found so many people to teach this week! I have truly witnessed miracles and it has been so humbling to bring the gospel to these in Lévis. I have felt God's love and help so much this week, He is so aware. This week I have felt SO MUCH JOY. This is really God's work and I know He is leading us! I am beyond grateful for this week and how it helped me turn to my Savior.
I have a testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, it is real and enabling! I hope you all can look for ways this week to turn to Jesus Christ and feel of His power! I LOVE ALL SO MUCH!
