The Lord Plans Forward - September 20th, 2021

Bonjour tout le monde! This week was so incredible. I never know how to write these weekly emails, there is no possible way to write down everything I experienced, learned, and felt! This week was definitely a highlight of my mission. First of all, zone conference! Zone conference is such an edifying experience. Being in a room full of missionaries and hearing them bear their testimonies is so powerful. I just want to paraphrase some of the things that I felt - This church is Jesus Christ's church, and we are being led by Him every. day. As I missionary, it's my job to invite ALL to come unto Christ. Everyone deserves to hear this gospel and have the joy that comes from the covenant path. It's all about LOVE. Loving people as Christ would and being a friend to everyone! President Harkness' teaching was so powerful. He talked about how the Lord plans forward. Every experience we have prepares us for the future. Looking back I can see the ways the Lord prepared me for this mission, and it's been so comforting to apply that teaching to the experiences I'm having now. When I look at my trials with that perspective, it changes how I feel about them. I know that they are preparing me for something so much greater. God is in control! Our mission had such an amazing opportunity this weekend. We had a mission wide conference with Elder Cook, Elder Kearon, Elder Johnson, Brother Carter and their wives along with President and Sister Harkness. It was truly one of the most amazing meetings of my life. This gospel is joy. I feel so blessed to be alive in this time! There is such an urgency for missionary work and it is so exciting to feel. The spirit is real, and it is the most amazing gift we have. I am so grateful for the testimonies that were shared and how mine was strengthened. I know this gospel is true and I love it with my whole heart! Here's a quote I loved so much, "We aren't perfect people, but we can do perfect things everyday." - Sister Cook. I hope you all have an amazing week and I love you so much! - Sœur Hardy pics - district pday ballers - ma sœur and our fav green wall!
