Spiritual Moments and Stairwells - March 14, 2022
Salut!
Such a happy week! So many things happened, God is just so good. He is absolutely I control and He prepares forward. This week we had some pretty incredible experiences.
This week we met with Brigitte, one of our member friends. We started talking about missionary work and how incredible it is to be a missionary. She kept saying she wants to spend just one day of her life as a missionary like us. Doing the will of the Lord full-time. She mentioned many times how purifying that must be, every day, and it is so true. It really is such a privilege and blessing to be a missionary and be able to testify and teach of Jesus Christ everywhere we go. If you are thinking about going on a mission, this is your sign. DO IT! It has been the best experience of my life and for my life. I wish everyone could feel what it is like to be a missionary. And everyone can! It was so special help Brigitte see that she doesn't need to be called on a mission to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. The spirit was so strong.
Another highlight of this week, actually of my whole mission, we are teaching the cutest lady, Ouarda. She is so faithful. Last night we were able to give her a Book of Mormon and she was just SO happy! She shared with us a hit about her life, and how grateful she is to be here in Canada and that she "found Jesus". Her family has been here for 4 years, they arrived as refugees. I felt so much love for her as she expressed how grateful she is that she can worship, and go to church, and have a bible in her home. It wasn't possible for her before, but now she can read the Bible as much as she wants. That big red hardcover Sainte bible means to so much her. I don't think I've seen a happier smile than Ouarda talking about how she has found Christ through the Bible and how excited she is to read the Book of Mormon! I am so grateful for that moment and I am so excited to see how her life will be changed by the Book of Mormon.
A little housing story from this week because it wouldn't be the same without touching on service haha, this week we set up a new apartment and had to clear one out for new missionaries. After a crazy morning with lots of unexpected problems, we found ourselves stuck outside appartement without the right set of keys with no way to get in. We said a prayer in this tiny stairwell as the housing team and it was a powerful moment. I know that whatever goes on in our lives we can turn to Heavenly Father for help. He wants us to be happy and He wants to help us, He even cares about missing keys! God didn't open the door for us by He provided us a way to get the keys, and even led us to a little miracle curtain store in the meantime. God loves us and His miracles are everywhere!!
I love you all have an amazing week. Love you!!
