Snails and Guitars - May 30, 2022

Hello hello! We had an incredible miracle this week. This whole week the spirit was reminding me about a member in our ward, so we decided we needed to visit them. We got into their apartment but we didn't have their apartment number. We prayed and then listened, we heard a baby in apt #4 and decided that was the spirit leading us to their family! It was the spirit leading us, but turns out it was a different family! Jean Mauricio opened the door and the first thing he said to us was "OH! I love your church!" His family and him just moved from Brazil and were so excited to hear there was a church close to them. They are the sweetest family, and my heart nearly exploded this Sunday when they walked into sacrament meeting! They came with the member family that we were looking for. It was such an incredible miracle and I'm just so grateful for the spirit. This week I learned that my stomach has significantly shrunken since Montréal. I haven't had Haitian food for months and this week one of our members fed us and we felt like we were going to explode. I don't know how I used to eat 3-4 plates haha! One of my favorite experiences this week, we were walking with our friend Nacen, and a random dude came and started playing his guitar for us! His name was Julio and it was so cool! Allô à tous !! This week was wild. I had to say goodbye to sœur Rice:( and I got my new companion Sœur Tate ! She is new in the mission and I have already learned so much from her. I'm just feeling so grateful for this privilege I have to serve the Lord and come closer to Him. I am so excited for this Christmas season and the opportunity we have to focus more on Jesus Christ. I loved the Christmas devotional last night. Sister Cordon talked about how when we understand the significance behind the gift, it becomes priceless. Mission Tour - Monday October 18, 2021

Bonjour mes amis!! This week was so crazy good. I loved it so much! We had a mission tour with Elder and Sister Johnson so every morning we were able to meet with the whole mission on zoom! It was so fun and the spirit taught me so much! It was so edifying. I wanted to share this scripture verse I loved from this week, Elder Johnson called it the formula for learning and personal revelation. Mosiah 2:9 "... hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your hearts that ye may understand, and your minds that the mysteries of God may be unfolded to your view." I know that God wants to speak to us. There may be things that He has been wanting to tell you! This week I'm going to look for those things and I hope you do too! Allô ! I am soaking up second I have left gere in Québec, I'm going to miss it so much. Even though we didn't have many appointments this week because people are so busy with the holidays, we had some really awesome experiences. One of my very favorite things in the world is watching the change that happens in people when they honestly seek Christ and are seeking to recognize the spirit. Our friend Olga described it perfectly when she was telling us about the big peace that she had in her heart and the happiness that she felt all week long. These past 2 transfers as a mission we've been studying the 5 gospels - Matt, Mark, Luke, Jean, and 3 Nephi. I have learned so much about my savior Jesus Christ, I could write à book about it. One thing that really stood out to me is Christ's capacity to heal. No matter where He was, He healed all who came unto Him with faith.
