Not Roger That - July 11, 2022

Allô Allô ! Ahh this week was such a good, happy sad week! Our trio is down to two:( sister Gebhardt finished her mission on thursday and it was so sad to say goodbye. We had a lot of special lasts with her this week. We had an incredible leçon with debora and her family outside the temple. I feel so blessed to be so close to the temple, there is just such a special spirit there and my new favorite thing is teaching our friends in the garden. We talked about the plan of salvation and why the temples are such an important part of that plan. They are so cute, I'm going to start learning some Portuguese! Cool miracle from provisions! This is a place where we go and do community service for 4 hours each week and I absolutely love it. The people we work with are so genuine and fun. This week we had a miracle, we were talking with Erwin using the little Spanish we know, and he was so excited he invited us over to meet his family and have Columbian food. He was so excited when we said we could share a message as well. It was such a cool experience. I definitely have a testimony of organized service. Also I learned this week just how dependent we are on technology. For one day we didn't have service and we were LOST haha. We couldn't call our friends to confirm our meetings, couldn't send any messages, we didn't have Google maps to get to places where we had to be - but sister Shumway's direction skills saved us. It was crazy how much that impacted our day. With that and sister Gebhardt leaving, one of the members put it best by saying "not Roger that." Allô à tous !! This week was wild. I had to say goodbye to sœur Rice:( and I got my new companion Sœur Tate ! She is new in the mission and I have already learned so much from her. I'm just feeling so grateful for this privilege I have to serve the Lord and come closer to Him. I am so excited for this Christmas season and the opportunity we have to focus more on Jesus Christ. I loved the Christmas devotional last night. Sister Cordon talked about how when we understand the significance behind the gift, it becomes priceless. The gift of our Saviors birth is the most priceless gift we have ever received. Mission Tour - Monday October 18, 2021

Bonjour mes amis!! This week was so crazy good. I loved it so much! We had a mission tour with Elder and Sister Johnson so every morning we were able to meet with the whole mission on zoom! It was so fun and the spirit taught me so much! It was so edifying. I wanted to share this scripture verse I loved from this week, Elder Johnson called it the formula for learning and personal revelation. Mosiah 2:9 "... hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your hearts that ye may understand, and your minds that the mysteries of God may be unfolded to your view." I know that God wants to speak to us. There may be things that He has been wanting to tell you! This week I'm going to look for those things and I hope you do too! Allô ! I am soaking up second I have left gere in Québec, I'm going to miss it so much. Even though we didn't have many appointments this week because people are so busy with the holidays, we had some really awesome experiences. One of my very favorite things in the world is watching the change that happens in people when they honestly seek Christ and are seeking to recognize the spirit. Our friend Olga described it perfectly when she was telling us about the big peace that she had in her heart and the happiness that she felt all week long. These past 2 transfers as a mission we've been studying the 5 gospels - Matt, Mark, Luke, Jean, and 3 Nephi. I have learned so much about my savior Jesus Christ, I could write à book about it. One thing that really stood out to me is Christ's capacity to heal. No matter where He was, He healed all who came unto Him with faith.
