Looking for Joy - March 7, 2022

Allô Allô! This week I just wanted to share with you a thought that has literally changed me. I've been studying a lot about perspective and joy, and I have been learning so much. Hebrews 12:2 has become one of my favorite verses. It reads 《Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,》 Our savior Jésus Christ endured the cross because of the JOY he saw. One of my favorite French songs has a line that says "what joy did he see dying for me?". I know that Christ saw so much joy on the cross. D. Todd Christofferson beautifully describes the joy that we can only imagine Christ saw in saying 《In order for Him to endure the most excruciating experience ever endured on earth, our savior focused on joy! And what was the joy that was set before Him? Surely it included the joy of cleansing, healing, and strengthening us; the joy of paying for the sins of all who would repent; the joy of making it possible for you and me to return home - clean and worthy - to live with our Heavenly Parents and families.》 Christ focused on joy, and I can too! I know that as we look to Christ, we will be strengthened and enabled beyond out own power. I have such a huge testimony of gratitude and choosing joy. There is so much good in this world! I am so grateful for my savior Jésus Christ. I felt like I needed to share that quick spiritual thought, maybe it will help one of you as much as it helped me! I love you all so much! Hope you have the best week. - Sœur Hardy pics - we visited a cool Montréal cathedral - exchanges with Sœur Gatz - we made name tag cakes for the new senior missionaries! - precious sister Falcon!
