Everlasting Beginnings - July 4, 2022

Salut !! This was such a good week. So many memories! Per usual I didn't leave myself much time but here are somethings I want to remember when I look back - marie andre was baptized! Her baptism was Saturday and she was welcomed back officially to the ward. It was so special. The elders saved the day when they figured out how the font worked, we were running from the kitchen to the font with water trying to fill it haha! - we got to watch Islande's baptism over zoom this Saturday! It was so special. I'm so proud of her. - exchanges with Sherbrooke! Sherbrooke is the CUTEST place. He drive was gorgeous and it was just a really happy town. Also because I got to be reunited with Sœur Morais with a day so that was so much fun. I hope you all have someone like Sœur Morais in your life, she carries the love of God with her and you just can't help but be happy around her! - this week we had a special experience, we were finally able to meet our friend Debora. Her mom passed away this week so we were able to share with her a message of comfort. I started crying as I told her of an experience that happened 3 years ago were I was able to be comforted after a friend's passing. I showed her the picture of Christ hugging Briggs. It was so tender. We read together in the book of mormon and we able to comfort her by helping her remember that this life is not the end. That God has a much greater, happier life prepared for us. I was studying about the plan of salvation this week and I love this quote from Elder Utchdorf, he said 《The more we learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ, the more we realize that endings here in mortality are not endings at all. They are merely interruptions—temporary pauses that one day will seem small compared to the eternal joy awaiting the faithful. How grateful I am to my Heavenly Father that in His plan there are no true endings, only everlasting beginnings.》 I love that so much. No matter what endings are happening in our life, we can trust that as we turn to God he can help us with our everlasting beginnings. I'm grateful for those beginnings that He offers me each day. Allô à tous !! This week was wild. I had to say goodbye to sœur Rice:( and I got my new companion Sœur Tate ! She is new in the mission and I have already learned so much from her. I'm just feeling so grateful for this privilege I have to serve the Lord and come closer to Him. I am so excited for this Christmas season and the opportunity we have to focus more on Jesus Christ. I loved the Christmas devotional last night. Sister Cordon talked about how when we understand the significance behind the gift, it becomes priceless. The gift of our Saviors birth is the most priceless gift we have ever received. This Christmas I'm going to try to better understand the significance of Christ's mission and strengthen my relationship with Him. I love this quote by O. Mission Tour - Monday October 18, 2021

Bonjour mes amis!! This week was so crazy good. I loved it so much! We had a mission tour with Elder and Sister Johnson so every morning we were able to meet with the whole mission on zoom! It was so fun and the spirit taught me so much! It was so edifying. I wanted to share this scripture verse I loved from this week, Elder Johnson called it the formula for learning and personal revelation. Mosiah 2:9 "... hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your hearts that ye may understand, and your minds that the mysteries of God may be unfolded to your view." I know that God wants to speak to us. There may be things that He has been wanting to tell you! This week I'm going to look for those things and I hope you do too! Allô ! I am soaking up second I have left gere in Québec, I'm going to miss it so much. Even though we didn't have many appointments this week because people are so busy with the holidays, we had some really awesome experiences. One of my very favorite things in the world is watching the change that happens in people when they honestly seek Christ and are seeking to recognize the spirit. Our friend Olga described it perfectly when she was telling us about the big peace that she had in her heart and the happiness that she felt all week long. These past 2 transfers as a mission we've been studying the 5 gospels - Matt, Mark, Luke, Jean, and 3 Nephi. I have learned so much about my savior Jesus Christ, I could write à book about it. One thing that really stood out to me is Christ's capacity to heal. No matter where He was, He healed all who came unto Him with faith.
