Better Things Await You - February 21, ,2022

Bonjour tout le monde!! This week was kind of crazy! Lots of unexpected things happened, other plans fell through, but it was a good week! Lots of learning opportunities and one thing that I know with a surety is that God is in control. There were a lot of things that happened this week that we couldn't control, but it really helped us put our trust in God and know that His plan is better! I am the designated driver for this transfer and driving in Montréal is the most stressful thing. Never before in my life have I had to cross 4 lanes in 2 seconds, but we're surviving. Small town roads did not prepare me for this haha! I'm going to be a pro at parallel parking before this transfer is over! Thank goodness for google maps. The roads here look like someone threw a pile of spaghetti on the ground and made it into a road. I wanted to share an experience we had with our friend Sherlie! I'm not sure if I have talked about Sherlie before but I love this woman with all my heart. A couple weeks ago her appartement was on fire. Nobody was hurt but her appartement was burnt and she lost quite a lot. She is so faithful and is an incredible example to me of someone who puts God first. The relief society in our ward gathered together some things that were lost in the fire, like blankets, kitchen and bathroom items, things for her little baby girl, and meals. We were able to give her the kit this week, and it was so special. She is so optimistic. We were talking with her and it was just incredible to hear her perspective. She lost so much and has to look for a new appartement now, in just a few weeks her situation was completely changed. It was so special to hear her say that after everything she has experienced, she trusts God and knows that all these things will be for her good and "better things await her". Her faith and hope is so incredible. I wanted to share her experience because it helped me to see a bigger perspective. I know that all the difficulties in this life are for our good. God is preparing us for something even greater! I love this scripture in Roman's 8:18 《For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.》 I think that scripture speaks for itself! It is so good. I know that God has a much greater plan for us! We cannot even grasp the joy that shall come and the glories that will be revealed. God loves us so much and He knows what is best for us. He really is at the helm and is leading us by His hand every step of the way. I love you so so much!! Allô à tous !! This week was wild. I had to say goodbye to sœur Rice:( and I got my new companion Sœur Tate ! She is new in the mission and I have already learned so much from her. I'm just feeling so grateful for this privilege I have to serve the Lord and come closer to Him. I am so excited for this Christmas season and the opportunity we have to focus more on Jesus Christ. I loved the Christmas devotional last night. Sister Cordon talked about how when we understand the significance behind the gift, it becomes priceless. The gift of our Saviors birth is the most priceless gift we have ever received. Mission Tour - Monday October 18, 2021

Bonjour mes amis!! This week was so crazy good. I loved it so much! We had a mission tour with Elder and Sister Johnson so every morning we were able to meet with the whole mission on zoom! It was so fun and the spirit taught me so much! It was so edifying. I wanted to share this scripture verse I loved from this week, Elder Johnson called it the formula for learning and personal revelation. Mosiah 2:9 "... hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your hearts that ye may understand, and your minds that the mysteries of God may be unfolded to your view." I know that God wants to speak to us. There may be things that He has been wanting to tell you! This week I'm going to look for those things and I hope you do too! Allô ! I am soaking up second I have left gere in Québec, I'm going to miss it so much. Even though we didn't have many appointments this week because people are so busy with the holidays, we had some really awesome experiences. One of my very favorite things in the world is watching the change that happens in people when they honestly seek Christ and are seeking to recognize the spirit. Our friend Olga described it perfectly when she was telling us about the big peace that she had in her heart and the happiness that she felt all week long. These past 2 transfers as a mission we've been studying the 5 gospels - Matt, Mark, Luke, Jean, and 3 Nephi. I have learned so much about my savior Jesus Christ, I could write à book about it. One thing that really stood out to me is Christ's capacity to heal. No matter where He was, He healed all who came unto Him with faith.
