Joyeux Noël - December 27, 2021

Bonjour mes amis!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! This week was so good. We got to spread so much Christmas joy. Despite the restrictions that are being put in place, the work is moving forward and we are finding ways to serve still. We woke up at 5h30 one day this week to go caroling at the metro station with some of the missionaries. Sister Roberts arranged it all and it was so much fun. We gave out hot chocolate and cookies and sang Christmas songs, so many people stopped to vidéo us and they were so surprised when they found out we were giving the cookies away for free. It was one of my favorite experiences. One of the highlights of this week was meeting with the aldib family! They speak Arabic and are learning french, and I love them with my whole heart. Their whole family was so shocked at how tall I am. They made me stand up and measure with the whole fam haha! It was so funny! This year I wanted to do something special for Christmas, so each day leading up to Christmas I wrote down a line of my testimony. This year was so spécial because I was able to focus on Christ's birth like I never have before. I am so grateful for the Christmas season and the spirit I have felt. I hope something in my testimony touches you, and I would LOVE to hear a part of your testimony! Here's my 25 reasons I know Jésus Christ lives and why I am thankful for His birth. 1• I am infinitely grateful for the birth of my savior, and the perfect example He set for me 2• I am grateful for the angels that proclaimed the great joy of His birth and who still minister unto me today 3• Because of His love for us, He devoted His love to accomplish His father's will Because of my love for Him, I will devote my life to serve Him 4• His birth is the greatest gift I will ever receive 5• His humble birth and incomparable life is a testament to me of our divine nature as children of God and our potential to become like Him 6• His gospel is perfect, it is the only way for us to receive a fulness of His joy 7• Christ lives, and He leads His people still through His prophet and living apostles 8• The same principles and ordinances He established during his mortal ministry are restored. His priesthood power blesses me and strengthens me daily 9• Having faith in Christ and confidence in the changing and enabling power of the Atonement moves us to become better each and every day 10• Just as He did when he was on earth, Christ performs miracles in my life. I will forever try to have the eyes to see His hand in my life 11• I know that through my efforts to come closer to Him He will come closer to me 12• His birth brought the world lasting peace 13• Learning about who Jesus Christ is through the scriptures has made His life more real to me 14• Just like the world was prepared for the birth of the Lamb of God, God plans forward. He is preparing me now for experiences I will need later 15• His birth gives me hope, His grace gives me change 16• Christ lives, and He speaks to me today. One of the most important things I can do is learn how I Hear Him 17• Through prayer I can communicate with my loving Heavenly Father and receive revelation to align my will with His 18• I am grateful for the ordinances that Christ established and the sustaining, renewing power I receive from keeping my covenants I have made with Him 19• Through the birth of our Savior, God showed us his complete love. He sent his Son to give us a way to return home, that is the greatest gift and act of love we will ever know 20• I am grateful for the Holy Ghost, and the gift of his constant comfort and guidance 21• I am grateful for the power of faith in Jesus Christ. Faith that moves me to act, to serve, to love, to become more like Him, to receive answers to my prayers, and to cheerfully climb the mountains in my life 22• Even as a child, Christ showed the perfect example. He was the first to forgive, quickest to serve and always showed love. I will forever try to become as a little child and develop the meekness that my Savoir exemplified 23• Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Even in a different place, in a city I'm not familiar with, speaking a language I don't know, I feel an overwhelming amount of joy for this season and that is because it is centered on the birth of the person who provided a way for us to have eternal joy 24• His sacrifice is the most important, unattainable gift, and that is why we celebrate Him at Christmas. He gave us a way to receive a fulness of joy through following Him 25• The humble child that was born on this day paid the price to save every son and daughter of God. Every part of his birth story testifies of the reality of our loving Heavenly Parents, His influence is in all the details of our lives. He paved the way through His faith led ministry and provided us with a way to return to our Heavenly Home. Because of Him, all reunions are possible Wow sorry for the mile-long email, this is probably the longest one I'll ever write haha! I hope you all had the most amazing Christmas and felt the Saviors love for you!
