Salut!! I hope you all had an amazing week! This week was really good! We had some amazing lessons and our friends are really progressing. We are teaching more people now than we ever were before and I was really humbled this week by their testimonies and their desire to come closer to Christ. I learned a lot this week about the spirit. Since being a missionary I have really realized the importance of personal study, it's one of my favorite times of the day. To start off this new year our mission President challenged us to read the Book of Mormon in 2 transfers, and to look for the two great commandments - loving God, and loving others. This challenge has already grown my testimony so much. I LOVE the Book of Mormon. It has brought me closer to Christ and taught me how I can love my neighbors. Since reading it this time, it has become so much more real to me. I know that the things written in that book are true, and that the prophets were called of God. Studying the Book of Mormon brings real power into our lives. I promise that if you read it every day you will notice a difference. We had a lesson this week with one of our friends Sherlie and it was so incredible. She has such a strong testimony and so much faith in Christ. After teaching her about the restoration and the book of mormon, she asked "how has this book changed your life." We all shared our testimonies and it was one of the most powerful experiences. This book has changed who I am, how I think and act, and has helped me grow confidence in my savior and His plan. Because of the truths that we know from the book of mormon, I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who is guiding me. We also know of His great plan of happiness for us and how we can return to live with our families forever. Her question made me realize I always want to be testifying of how the book of mormon has changed me. This week I challenge you all to study the book of mormon daily, and look for what God is trying to tell you. One last thing I wanted to add about this, God is so understanding. He knows each of us completely, by our hearts. I know that he accepts every effort we make to come unto him. So if you haven't read your scriptures in a while, or don't know what the book of mormon is, or wish you could get more out of your studies that is okay! The only thing that matters is that we try again, and keep trying. God understands and He will meet us where we are. Start now! Come unto him. Christ is waiting with open arms ready and excited to welcome ALL who come unto him. I know this with all my heart! God is merciful, forgiving, loving, and has so much compassion for each of His children. You are so loved!! I invite you to feel of that love through reading His words this week. I love you all so much and pray for you daily. I hope you know how much you are needed and loved. Have the bestest week!! Bye-le! - sœur hardy - Highlights - we had exchanges online, kind of different but still so amazing.
