Island Life - November 22,2021

Salut! Okey dokey this week was wild. Last week I was settled in prepared to stay in Lévis but God had a different plan. We got a call Tuesday night from President, he told us that there was a sister missionary who had to be sent home because of a knee injury and that I was being transferred to Montreal! So we had one hectic day of packing and now I'm here in the big city. It was hard leaving Lévis without saying goodbye to the members and our friends, but I know it's what was supposed to happen. Sœur Gibb got transferred to Québec so our area became a "white wash" meaning there's two new sisters in the area. So our last day together was spent writing pages of area notes, lots of praying, and packing. I was able to pack everything in 30 mins, and that is a miracle! The road trip was so fun, we listened to Christmas music it made me so happy. There are some really weird traffic rules on the island of Montreal, and there are people everywhere! It's so different but I love it, and I'm excited to be here. I'm finishing training Sœur Chatterley and she is so fun! We are the housing sisters so right now we are very busy with preparing apartments for new missionaries, it's a blast! This week has taught me so much about relying on my savior. There are so many things I don't know how to do, especially in a new area and in a new language, and I want to be the trainer that Sœur Chatterley needs. But I do know that when I turn to Christ he leads me, and that is the most important thing I could be doing. I am so grateful for the enabling power of the Atonement of Jésus-Christ. This week I have already seen the potential this area has, and I know we are going to see so many miracles. I wanted to share with you this week one of my favorite scriptures ever. It's 2 Corinthians 12:10, and it says 《Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.》 I love this scripture and I have a huge testimony of it. It is so powerful.. I am so grateful for changes and opportunities to push myself and grow. It's through these times that I feel the most help because I know there is no other way I would be able to accomplish it. I know that God is real, and He loves all his children. I know he hears us and will guide us when we let him. This week, I challenge you all to step out of your comfort zone and trust that God will help you! This life is the time for us to prepare to return to him by strengthening our testimonies through our experiences. Heavenly Father sees your potential, and He has the ability to make us into more than we could ever be by ourselves! I am so so so happy to be serving here, I am so grateful for the spirit! I hope you all do something this week that scares you, and you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be doing the same! I love you all so much and I hope you have the best week! - sœur hardy - some weekly highlights - Sœur Fitament made us Chinese food the night before we left Lévis - as the housing sisters we get to go shopping with Sister Roberts and this week we went on a dollarama run, I don't think I've ever seen a receipt so long it my life. It was so much fun - we showed up to serve one morning at mission bon acceil and Sister Barfuss and Quinton were there! What are the odds of that! - we had a lesson with someone in uganda, technology is such a blessing - Sœur Loute made us Haitian food and it was amazing. I've heard so much about it and it definitely lived up to it's reputation pics - Sœur Chatterley's grandma sent us bunny slippers, we love them - cool Chinese garden we visited on pday
