The Work Begins - Saturday July 17th 2021

 Bonjour friends and family!!

I've been in the MTC for almost one week and it has been the most incredible experience. I have learned SO much and have strengthened my testimony more than I ever thought was possible in 6 days. I'm so busy with classes and language study everyday but I wouldn't want it any other way! My district is so much fun. There are 12 missionaries in my group and classes are so good. I am blown away by how amazing my teachers are. They are so wise and spiritual,  I have grown so much this past week. Online MTC is such a blessing. Also, I have the most amazing companion!!! She is literally the best, I feel like I've known her my whole life! We became best friends in no time! She loves to work and pushes me which I am so grateful for. We have set some pretty high goals for ourselves but I know that God will help us accomplish them. Soeur Winterton and I are the only sisters in our district so it's a fun time! We laugh so much every class it's my favorite thing. Also, I have to mention my mom for really taking the "home mtc" to heart. At any given point in the day when I come out of my room for a break, she has another version of "Called to Serve" playing! I bet I've heard at least 8 renditions haha! I love it so much.

One thing I have studied a lot this week is prayer. I know that there is real power in prayer. President Monson said, "He who knows the call of a sparrow surely knows the prayers of our hearts." I love this quote so much. It brings me so much comfort. He knows us. He knows our needs, and He knows exactly how to help us. He loves us so much. We can be comforted and feel His love through the spirit. Prayer has always been important to me, but I have studied it through a new light this week.

This has been the best first week of the greatest work I've ever been a part of. I love being a missionary! LOVE YOU ALL!
